Language has been my forte from an early age. As a child, when I wasn't reading, I was babbling away about what I had recently learned, read, seen or heard. I am innately curious, which bodes well for research, interviewing and storytelling.
Travel feeds my inquisitive nature and fuels my stories. Now, when I'm not writing or playing outdoors, I'm usually plotting my next trip. My goal is to encourage others--especially females--to spend more time exploring.
After an exciting quarter-life crisis spent working on a dude ranch and backpacking through 14 countries in three years, I realized going back to a cubicle wasn't going to cut it.
WHAT I'VE DONE
My writing experience includes the traditional (reporting, interviews, editing); the modern (blogging, copywriting, hashtags); and the creative (letters, photo essays, toasts).
Most of my professional work focuses on the outdoor recreation industry (destination guides, trip reports, gear reviews, adventure travel) and the tourism/hospitality industry (food & beverage, hotels, luxury vacations, city guides.)
